March 2, 2021

It was Tuesday, March the 2nd. My oldest son had a soccer practice. My wife and three kids met me at the park as I drove there straight from work. It was in the low 40s and freezing, so I told her to take the other 2 kids home. Taylor, our middle child, was adamant about staying. So Taylor and I made our way down to the field with 2 chairs and snacks (we were on snack duty that day.)

After about 15 minutes of sitting there at the practice, my entire body starts to ache. Especially my legs and back. It felt like my bones were freezing and cracking as if they were about to shatter. I’ve never felt my bones hurt in such a way before. Again, I didn’t think too much of it, I just thought it was due to the cold temperatures. After practice we called the kids on the team over to get their snacks and drinks and we made our way to the car to head home.

February 28, 2021

It was Sunday, February the 28th. We got our oldest and youngest signed up for Soccer after a year of the pandemic. It was time to get back to some normal activities.

We went to the park and I was kicking the soccer ball around with the kids for a bit. It wasn’t long, maybe 15 minutes of jogging/running around a soccer field and passing/kicking the ball. But I guess for not being very active during the pandemic it took its toll on my body. The next day my legs were extremely sore. Nothing really out of the ordinary for exercising muscles that haven’t been used in awhile, so I didn’t think much of it at the time.
